If anyone tells you there isn't much to do in the Annapolis area this Fall, tell them to check out the Macaroni KID Annapolis Events Calendar. There are so many events happening, I don't have enough time to get them all on the website. I want to thank Kearney for entering library and other events. We are doing our best to get all of the Fall offerings on the calendar. You can also check out the Fall Fun for Families Guide for lots of options of family friendly events in our area this Fall.Have you been enjoying the cooler weather and the kids being back in school? I sure have. I love sweater weather!
October Events
As we start a new month, I wanted to point out a few events coming up soon that I think are important.
- Oct. 1st Noon to 4pm - The Fire Prevention Fair in Eastport this Saturday looks like fun but is also an important teaching moment.
- Oct. 5th Noon to 7pm - Halloween Costume Exchange - Here is your chance to get rid of, obtain, or trade costumes and pay nothing.
- Oct. 7th 5-8pm - Heartoberfest Disco Dinner is a family friendly event that is raising funds for an awesome organization, Through the Heart. They are offering a discount code to MacKid readers to save 50% off tickets. That means adult tickets are only $10 and kids are only $5. You get dinner with lots of options to make everyone happy, entertainment, and an evening your family will enjoy.
Gift Card Giveaway and Kids Night
Starting today and going through Oct. 15th at 10am, Caliente Grill with help from Macaroni KID Annapolis is giving away three more $25 gift cards. This is our way of celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month. Click here for details and link to entry form. You can use your gift card for dinner during one of the upcoming family programs such as Kids Night, Spanish Immersion, or Mariachi Night or anytime you want some authentic, fresh Latino cuisine.
I will be leading Kids Night at Caliente Grill this coming Monday, October 3rd to share my love and knowledge of the culture of Mexico. I will be bringing items to touch, crafts to make, and stories to share. Bring your family for a delicious dinner and enjoy the program. Reservations required and you can make them by calling (410) 626-1444. Please tell your friends and I loo forward to seeing you Monday for Kids Night.
