Description

Summer Concert Series at Quiet Waters Park features a fantastic line up of performing artists at this annual outdoor series.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO KNOW WHEN ATTENDING

  • Admission to the park is FREE during the evenings of the scheduled Concerts.
  • Plan to arrive early, the close in parking tends to fill up fast.
  • The Park has an awesome outdoor concert venue, make sure to bring a blanket or lawn chair.
  • Remember not to park on the grass unless instructed by park staff.
  • If you are bringing a pet, note that all pets must be on a leash.
  • No smoking or alcoholic beverages are allowed in the Park.
  • Food and Drink will be available for purchase at the event.  Vendors will be on the right as you face the stage.
  • Make sure to Visit the Friends Table on your left as you face the stage, bubbles, temporary tattoos and other items for kids are available for a small fee.
  • The concerts noted below with an asterisk are sponsored by the Friends of Quiet Waters Park. Make sure to purchase some raffle tickets for all the wonderful raffle items.  All proceeds benefit the Friends of Quiet Waters Park and the work we do to support the park.


July 22 – US Naval Academy Blues and Gold – Established in 2019, Blues & Gold is the newest performing unit of the Naval Academy Band. Under the direction of Chief Musician Rory Cherry, Blues & Gold performs classic blues and blues-infused music by artists such as B.B. King and Muddy Waters and current hits by Joe Bonamassa and Eric Clapton. The group performs concerts in the community as well as for Academy outreach events.

*July 29 – Kelly Bell Band – The Kelly Bell Band is among the most genre-expanding acts on today’s blues scene combining elements of hip-hop, funk, and blues-electrified. The band has won two prestigious Maryland Music Awards, including “Best Blues Band.” In 2018 they were been nominated for “Music Icon”. KBB has been voted “Best Blues Band” in the Mid Atlantic Region (12 years in a row), and was recently named “Best Band” by Baltimore Style Magazine.

*August 5 – Clones of Funk – First conceived by founder Wesley Beann in 1989 as a reunion of fans and musicians who were dedicated to the music of Parliament and Funkadelic. George “Dr. Funkenstein” Clinton having heard of the band was invited to witness his clones. Being moved by the talent of the band, George joined in the performance. This 8 piece band will surely have you up on your feet dancing the entire show.

*August 12 – Moxie Blues – Start with 6 musicians with a love for blues, rock and soul, combine that with a unique list of covers, add a generous splash of fun, shake well and you’ve got the Moxie Blues Band! We promise you that the house will be rockin’!

*August 19 –Carolyn Eyerly Band(Bluegrass) – Carolyn is delighted to lead her new, self-titled band into this next chapter of her professional life. The band is a bunch of widely talented virtuosos. Her passion for this group stems from spiraling into euphoria every time they get together picking.

*August 26 –Leonardo Garcia y son Horizonte (Latin pop) – An ensemble that was formed to explore a wide variety of original compositions and arrangements, and a wide variety of Salsa and Salsa Jazz, from the classic style (salsa dura), Son Montuno to Salsa Urbana, including the band’s original salsa music. Leonardo’s roots from Colombia (mother from Bogota and father from Santa Marta) is a major influence, along with the wealth of Washington DC area Jazz history and musicians, and Latin American cultures. This blend of influences and styles is apparent in the compositions, recordings and performances that Leonardo offers to the audience.

September 3 – Annapolis Symphony Orchestra– The mission of the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra is to produce, present and promote memorable symphonic music that increases awareness, enjoyment, and appreciation of music for all ages throughout the region.
