The Anne Arundel County Public Library (AACPL) opens the door to discovery and diversion for all County residents regardless of age, education, race, income level or interest. Its collection of more than one million items, including books in a variety of formats, periodicals, DVDs and CDs, is supplemented by a host of web-based Premium Resources, programs, services and helpful staff.
From encouraging early literacy and school readiness to bridging the summer learning gap and providing in-branch and online homework assistance, the Library is key partner in the county’s primary and secondary education efforts.
AACPL also offers workforce enhancements such as college test prep, skill building and job search guidance to ensure that all residents have the necessary skills and access to the computer equipment, connectivity and research materials necessary to be successful.
The Library provides enrichment and entertainment through literature, music and film, as well as in-branch programming for nearly every age. Book Clubs, story times, genealogy workshops, concerts, family game nights and holiday celebrations are just a sampling of the offerings available.
We offer many Premium Resources which are available online for use from home or office, magazines and newspapers, downloadable audio and eBooks and live reference assistance.
