- 11am - Crownsville State Veterans Cemetery Commemoration Ceremony 1122 Sunrise Beach Rd, Crownsville
Guest speaker: Colonel Michael A. Sapp, Garrison Commander at Fort Meade. The Maryland Defense Force Band will perform patriotic music. Refreshments served after the program at American Legion Post #7, 1905 Crownsville Rd, Annapolis. Questions? 410-987-6320
- 11am - Veterans Day Ceremony
Join veterans’ groups in honoring our country’s military heroes during a ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park in Bowie. All are welcome to attend this free event.
- 11am - Veterans Day National Ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery
The ceremony begins with a wreath laying at the Tomb of the Unknowns followed by a parade of colors by Veterans' organizations and remarks from dignitaries inside the Memorial Amphitheater.
The program schedule is Morning Flag Change at 10am, War in the Chesapeake program at 11:15am, and Evening Flag Change at 4pm. Free admission on Veterans Day.
Free admission for active duty and veterans on Friday, 11/10, 10:30-5 and Saturday 11/11, 10-5.
