I recently visited the TradeWinds Island Resorts on the white sands of St. Pete Beach, Florida. The tropical paradise was the perfect balance of relaxation and adventurous outdoor activities. There was something for every member of the family no matter their age, interests, or abilities.

The 40 beachfront acres of TradeWinds Island Resorts consists of two connecting resorts - Island Grand and RumFish. Stay at one, play at two! Every day I woke up well-rested and eager to explore everything the resorts had to offer.
As I walked around the resort exploring and taking pictures I walked by putt-putt golf and a tent with several craft choices for kids and adults. I saw many of the 9 swimming pools at TradeWinds Island Resorts. I was impressed that they had towels and pool toys available. I decided to get in one of the family pools and wished my family was with me. I moved to an adult only pool in full sun and the water felt amazing. It was so relaxing!
A few of my adventurous friends really enjoyed zip lining and we were all sad we couldn't play on the Floating Ocean Water Park because it was too windy.
When grown ups want some alone time in the evening, take the younger kids to the Konk Club Drop-In Camp and the teens can go to the Sun City Teen Lounge for ping pong, foosball, and more.
With 15 restaurants, bar, and lounges to choose from at the TradeWinds Island Resorts we never had to search for a place to enjoy a flavorful bite or fruity tropical drink. Dining options included sit down inside or out, a breakfast buffet, grab-and-go from the Deli, ice cream, and pizza. Service was impeccable everywhere we went.
The sunny beach was lined with 642 cabanas and the sound of the waves lulled me into a place of tranquility. Floating cabanas were available for those who wanted to float on the ocean. I did not want to leave this tropical paradise and ruin my mellow.
Activities were everywhere and there really was something for everyone! The 3-story slide on the beach and pool-side games like bingo and trivia were a lot of fun. My friend and I enjoyed paddle boating and seeing koi fish and ducks. We laughed so much at our bad steering. We met a friendly sting ray at the touch tank experience. The evening pirate show was very silly and entertaining. Who knew pirates could sing so well.
On our last night we ate dinner at the upscale RumFish Grill seated next to a 33,500 gallon aquarium full of tropical fish and a very large eel. This was the perfect way to end a fantastic vacation with friends. I can't wait to bring my family.
The relaxing tropical location, delicious food, and variety of activities has something for everyone in your family no matter their age, interest, or ability. Check out the TradeWinds Island Resorts website and book your next family getaway!
