National Night Out is an annual event, started in 1984, to promote neighborhood camaraderie and police-community partnerships. Since then, millions of people in 16,000 communities around the United States have taken part in National Night Out events such as block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts, and various other community events.
National Night Out is also known as America's Night Out Against Crime. It is a nationwide program and an opportunity for neighborhoods to strengthen relationships and partnerships with police, fire and public safety.

National Night Out in Annapolis
On Tuesday, August 2nd, National Night Out will be from 5pm - 8pm at various locations around Annapolis.
Join your neighbors for an evening outdoors with free food, activities for kids, community resources and more. Tell your friends about National Night Out and bring your family!

- Annapolis Gardens
- Bay Ridge Gardens
- Woodside Gardens
- Mike Busch Annapolis Library on West Street (more info below)
National Night Out at the Busch Library
There will be something for everyone so be sure to stop by this fun, outdoor family event! You might see a firefighter, a police dog, a queen, or the library mascot, Sneaks. There will be free food, giveaways, children's activities, visits with first responders and community organizations.
