August 19, 2020

Artworks Studio offers a variety of art classes, ages 2 and up, at two convenient Anne Arundel County studio locations: Annapolis and Arnold.

Artworks Studio encourages kids of all ages to develop their full creative potential through art. Artworks strives to create a unique environment in which kids of all ages, abilities, and experiences can feel free to imagine, create, and welcome the arts into their lives.

Artworks offers after school art classes, a home school art program, birthday pARTies, summer art camps, parent-child art classes, workshops, and NEW this fall a ‘TO Gogh’ virtual class option.

All of the classes are led by qualified, experienced, caring instructors with a passion for art and teaching!

Now that the County has made a decision on the start of the school year, Artworks is here for you.

Schedules are now available for the 2020-21 school year.  Small in-person studio classes OR new virtual classes where you can create in the comfort of your own home.

Whether you are homeschooling or looking to supplement your E-learning experience - Artworks will come to you!

Artworks ‘TO Gogh’ virtual classes are a great way for your little Picasso to be creative & learn new skills from home. They explore different mediums, learn new techniques & create in the style of many different famous artists.  Classes offered for ages 4 and up.

‘To Gogh’ classes include an ART KIT with all the supplies needed each month (4 lessons). And the best part: Kits will be DELIVERED in AA County! Pick up at Thrive if you prefer. Contact us for shipping if you are outside of the county.

Artworks Studio offers a year-round program. This better serves the families and children by offering more flexibility and a convenient auto-payment program.

In-person classes:  Children may enroll at any time as long as there is space available in the desired class. Monthly tuition is based on an average of four classes per month. If there are five classes in a month, there is no increase in tuition. If there are three, there is no credit given.

‘To Gogh’ virtual: 4 lessons per month, one per week. Lessons are emailed Monday morning for you to create anytime that week.

When your child is ready for a break, simply notify Artworks by the 15th of the month and they will end your child’s enrollment on the 30th or 31st of that month! Same policies apply to virtual classes.

With classes for all ages, Artworks Studio’s instruction will help your child:

  • Think creatively
  • Learn to observe, analyze and interpret
  • Express feelings, with or without words
  • Practice problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Learn to collaborate with other kids
  • Build confidence, and more!

Macaroni Kid special: Save $10 on your first month's tuition (in-person & virtual/excludes sibling art kits).

Owner of and instructor at Artworks Studio, Julie Braithwait has been teaching art in an Elementary School for 25+ years and at her studio for 13+ years. ‘It is my responsibility and passion to awaken in children an interest in art. The arts give us a language that helps us to see the connections in our world. I will provide a variety of art experiences with appropriate and challenging materials in order for the kids to create art that is meaningful to them. I, and all of my instructors, look forward to making a creative difference in your child's life.’
