Macaroni Review: Monster Jam

By Jennifer Ward, Macaroni Kid Annapolis February 29, 2020

As a "boy mom," I have come to realize that my life is now filled with bugs, burps, dirt, and MONSTER TRUCKS!  (And I am totally ok with this.) So, obviously I'm the coolest mom on the planet when I get to take my boys to Monster Jam! This was our third time attending Monster Jam at Royal Farms Arena, and it has just gotten better and better.

They had a wonderful tribute to veterans at the start of the show, which was so touching.  Throughout the show, they also gave opportunities to donate to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

This year, we got to see trucks we had not seen in past performances, including Soldier Fortune and Alien Invasion.  As an added surprise, Travis Pastrana made an appearance and raced Blake Granger (Max-D's driver) in a special ATV race.

As all the trucks and drivers were introduced, we each picked our favorite to root for.  My oldest loved Megladon, my youngest loved Max-D, my husband thought Zombie was the best, and I, of course, chose Soldier Fortune! (Unfortunately, Grave Digger had engine trouble for the majority of the competition, but came back just in time to win the freestyle competition!)

From the races, to the donut competition, to the ATV races, to the 2 wheel skills, it was a thrill from start to finish!
