How Yoga Helped Increase the Effectiveness of My Workouts

Hi All, 

It's me again; Kristen! I have been meaning to write and got caught up in some life things, but I'm back and I can’t wait to tell you MORE about Yogavibez Edgewater. So, I'm back to show you how yoga has played a role in my strength and conditioning. Here are some ways yoga has complemented my workouts: 

  1. Strength and flexibility. I do HIIT and cardio workouts, and yoga has been such a MAJOR piece in my strength in flexibility.  You gain strength from yoga poses, and it helps with your flexibility by elongating muscles during poses. Also, the poses stretch you and help with recovery.
  2. Endurance. Holding the poses is TOUGH. I've gotten so much stronger and I have been able to hold the poses longer. 
  3. Relaxation. Helps me relax and focus on the task at hand, which can be so hard to do; especially as a busy mom of two.
  4. Muscle tone. See?

  5. Workout for the mind, body, and soul. I know this is similar to relaxation, but this phrase means a whole new thing to me since I started practicing with Yogavibez Edgewater.  When you walk in, you are HOME. Whether it's your first time in there, or you have been going for years. The tribe of people in the community truly make my soul happy. From the AMAZING staff (Jen Swierk, Lindsay Sadtler, Cristella Rivera, Kate Grove, Shara Watkins) and clients, I have never felt more welcomed, motivated and loved by a group before.
