Katy (Macaroni Kid Pasadena-Severna Park) and I are heading to New Orleans next week for Macaroni Kid Meet Up and pedicures are always on our to-do list before we travel. We carved out some time and went to try out Face It, a brand new spa and wellness center in Severna Park. It's gorgeous. Upon entering, I immediately felt relaxed by the spa atmosphere. The luxurious finishes make Face It clean and sleek and instantly calming with the blues and greys and handcrafted wood and metal decor and workstations. While the women's locker room wasn't quite finished, it's sure to be beautiful and feature hand tiles, an amazing shower area, and lockers.
We enjoyed pedicures in their plush chairs using organic aromatherapy of our choice (I chose eucalyptus, Katy chose peppermint). The bowls felt amazing on my sore feet with their faux pebble bottoms. The pedicures included not only polish but a foot/leg scrub, mask and massage-all custom mixed with our aromatherapy choice. It was such a lovely experience to sit with my friend and be pampered in a beautifully relaxing environment.
After our pedicures, we went to hang out in Face It's Salt Cave. According to Face It's owner, Ashley, there amazing benefits to your health from spending time in a Salt Cave. They can help relieve sinus pressure, respiratory issues, mineral imbalance, and help with sleep. Face It has one of only five Salt Caves in Maryland, and its intimate setting was a perfect place for us to relax and enjoy the positive energy.
