10 Things to Do with Toddlers in Annapolis

Annapolis is a gorgeous town and we are lucky enough to call it home. Annapolis attracts visitors from around the country to enjoy some Maryland Blue Crabs and explore the city. If you are a parent with little ones, especially toddlers, there are many things to do with your toddler in Annapolis. Let’s take a look at 10 things to do with toddlers in Annapolis!

  1. Pirate Adventures on the Chesapeake - Board a pirate ship and enjoy a cruise around the Bay and Ego Alley, complete with a real-life pirate, sunken treasure chest and even water cannonballs! The kids get to dress up as a pirate prior to boarding their voyage. Pirate Adventures on the Chesapeake is located off of 3rd Street in Eastport.
  2. Chesapeake Children’s Museum - Have your toddlers learn all about the Chesapeake Bay and its ecology. CCM offers Creek Critters every Thursday at 10:30 am, where your toddler will learn about the Annapolis environment with special activities and where critters live.
  3. City of Annapolis Downtown Playground - This playground is located off of Newman and Compromise Street, just 2 blocks from Main Street. The playground offers a wide variety of activities for your toddler to enjoy.
  4. Annapolis Ice Cream Company - Take a stroll down Main Street and cool off with homemade ice cream from Annapolis Ice Cream Company. Their flavors vary from day to day and can be enjoyed while sitting on a bench outside.
  5. Sandy Point Park/Beach - Annapolis is known for their waterfront, but did you know that they have a beach? Take the kids to Sandy Point to build sand castles, swim in the Bay and enjoy the views of the Bay Bridge. 
  6. Anne Arundel County Public Library - The library is a perfect place for any and all ages. They have several locations throughout Annapolis and on April 30 they are even opening a branch at Westfield Annapolis Mall! 
  7. Main Street - Take a stroll down the historic Main Street to view everything Annapolis has to offer. Shop local and dine at your favorite Annapolis restaurants. There are many things for your toddler to enjoy. 
  8. The Brick House - Does your child love to build things? The Brick House hosts parties and has open play times, where your toddler can explore their creativity. 
  9. My Gym Annapolis - My Gym Annapolis is a children’s fitness center, which offers kids birthday parties, mommy and me classes, gymnastic camps and other fun-filled programs. It is the perfect place for your little one to burn off their energy and learn new skills. 
  10. Annapolis Maritime Museum - Enjoy a free guided tour to learn about oysters, the Chesapeake Bay, climb aboard a locally built workboat and more!
