What a winter. Err… not winter. This mild winter has been nice for several reasons, but if you’re like us you definitely missed the snow for sledding! We’re new to the area so I’ve been asking around about the best spots for sledding – assuming we get at least one sled-worthy snowfall.
Here’s the list:
- Heritage Park on Forest Drive – for younger kids
- Quiet Waters Park – would be a good fit for a family with a wide age range
- South River High School
- Broadneck High School
- Riva Park
If you decide to head out, make sure to stay safe:
- Look for trees, fences, or other objects that could get in the way
- Avoid hills that lead to parking lots, driveways or roadways
- Always go down feet first
- Have fun and dress warm
Did we miss some? Let us know what hills you and your family love!
