There are so many cute handprint/footprint art crafts that you can make with your little ones as a keepsake to take out every year at Christmas time (or all year long if you like). Last year we made Rudolph the red nosed reindeer footprints, which I am very excited to take out and display this holiday season. This year we decided to make "MistleToes." Here are the directions:
Supplies:
- Green paint
- yellow paint
- red paint
- paintbrushes
- wipes (for cleaning off your little ones feet)
- canvas or construction paper
Directions:
- Paint your little ones feet green (I recommend painting them one at a time and cleaning them off in between ~less mess for you).
- Press each foot into the paper/canvas (toes down). If there are two adults around it can be helpful for one person to hold your little ones ankle while the other person presses the canvas or paper against your little ones feet.
- Let the green paint dry and then use a small paintbrush to paint the ribbons and words with red paint.
- With a circular brush make yellow polka dots all over the paper/canvas (if you don't have a circular brush you can always just use a regular paint brush and make circles).
- Display your little ones mistletoes all holiday season (or all year long if you like).
