After a twelve hour drive, we felt like crashing however, with so much to see and do we headed out in the town right away. Our first stop was Ruby Falls, a incredible underground waterfall.

Located on Lookout Mountain, in Chattanooga Tennessee, Ruby Fallsis a large sparkling waterfall located deep inside one of the most significant mountains in the Southeastern United States.

Next stop,
The Incline Railway, located on Lookout Mountain, has delighted guests for more than a century as "America's Most Amazing Mile."

As trolley-style rail-cars slowly carry you up historic Lookout Mountain, Chattanooga's surrounding peaks and valleys come alive through the clouds. At one point along the way, the railway achieves an incline of 72.7%, making The Incline Railway the steepest railway in the world.

Day two had many more activities in store! We walked one block and jumped aboard the FREE transportation provided by the city and took the short (15 min) ride to the Tennessee Aquarium

Voted #1 aquarium in the U.S. for guest satisfaction, it delivered. With two buildings, River Journey and Ocean Journey buildings ou could spend hours here. River Journey is the original Aquarium building and features stunning freshwater creatures and habitats from the Southeast and from around the world.

Ocean Journey takes visitors beneath the waves where 10-foot sharks and graceful stingrays glide through amazing coral formations. Guests also meet playful penguins, cuttlefish, squid, crabs and jellyfish. An indoor rainforest showcases the fluttering jewels of nature - butterflies.

After a great afternoon full of fun activities at the Aquarium, we took to the streets which were full of families and young couples headed to prom and had lunch at The Mellow Mushroom.

Mellow Mushroomfeatures a creativemenuwith a wide variety of pizzas, hoagies, salads, calzones and appetizers. Options for vegetarian’s, vegan’s, kids, and those that require gluten-free items are also available. Definitely one of our favorite stops while in Chattoonoga!

We didn't stop there though, The Moon Piefactory store was a huge hit! Vintage candy, pop and of course MOON PIES were a perfect dessert. My children enjoyed their very first Moon Pie and R.C. Cola as we headed to our next voyage, Chattanooga Duck Tours

Get ready to climb into an authentic World War II amphibious vehicle, then - you guessed it - splash into the Tennessee River! As you ride up the river, you will get a unique view of the beautiful new cascading Cherokee Indian waterfall at the Tennessee Aquarium, as your captain tells you even more history, this time about East Tennessee's Cherokee heritage.

The third morning we were very sad to leave Chattanooga, however we were headed back into the car and off to Nashville. The children enjoyed their time in Chattooga so much, the immediately started planning a return visit. They have even been talking about the possibility of moving to Tennessee one day!

As you can see, we had a great time full of laughs and memories during our stay. We would like to thank the CVB who provided us VIP passes free of charge to all of the amazing places and sights we saw during our stay.

With so much to see and do, we recommend you book a visit soon! Chattanooga, TN has become my family's favorite vacation spot and we are sure you will feel the same way!

See you again soon!
