Anne Arundel Child Care and Preschool Fair

Wondering what to look for in quality child care or preschool? Would you like to find out more about area centers and schools in a single morning? The third annual Anne Arundel Child Care and Preschool Fair will be held on Saturday, January 21, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon in the dining hall at Anne Arundel Community College, 101 College Parkway, Arnold, MD. Parking and admission are free; strollers and children are welcome.
A short, informational seminar on what to consider when choosing child care and how to find the best fit will repeat throughout the morning. Representatives from licensed child care centers, preschools, private schools, and after-school programs will provide a “virtual” tour of their facilities. Agencies focused on the education and well-being of young children will also be there. You can sign up for a library card, pick up information on child nutrition, and find out more about school system special education services, for starters.
This event will be held on January 28, same time and place, in the event of inclement weather. Check the college website (aacc.edu) if you are unsure of a postponement. The fair is co-sponsored by the Anne Arundel County Child Care Association and Chesapeake Family Magazine.
