Macaroni Kid Act of Kindness Day

By Nicole Donnelly, Macaroni Kid Annapolis September 22, 2016
Macaroni Kid Annapolis participated in National Act of Kindness Day on Friday, September 16.

We, along with Batman in Baltmore and Megan Kluge Photography, visited the Pediatric Emergency Department at Anne Arundel Medical Center and made a giant donation of 551 coloring books and 347 boxes of crayons.

We had an opportunity to visit with some of the kids and watch their faces light up from a visit with Batman and a new activity to keep their minds off their injuries/illnesses.

Check out our Facebook page for the complete album of our Act of Kindness Day photos!

And guys. We couldn't have done it without your support and the support of some awesome local businesses!
  • You! Thank you for your donations at all of our play dates over the past 6 months! We are so grateful!
  • South River Pediatrics! They had a collection box at their Edgewater front desk and their patients helped them gather an awesome donation.
  • Edgewater Books! Owner Ken Kennedy made a donation of ~100 coloring books! So fantastic!
  • Menchie's Annapolis! We are so thankful for Menchie's cash donation to our cause. With it, we were able to buy 25 coloring books and 48 boxes of crayons!
  • Chick-fil-A Edgewater! The staff made a donation of items, and their location was home to several of our play dates and drives!
